About Me
I was born on the east coast of Canada, but moved around a great deal as a child and young adult. The result of that was that I was privileged enough to be able to see the whole of the country I proudly call home. It also instilled in me a wandering spirit and sense of adventure that I can say without doubt I have put to good use. I traveled all across the United States, saw fantastic sites, met my wonderful wife and loved all of it. Eventually my roots called me home, and with all of that exploring my only regret is that I never picked up a camera until very recently. I didn’t discover my love of photography until after I had to have an amputation on one leg. I was bored and not as agile as I was once, and needed something to do. For a reason I still don’t quite understand, getting a camera seemed like just the thing I needed. I was so right!! My love of photography happened the moment I picked up my first camera, and after a second amputation, leaving me a double below knee amputee, I have found a new outlook on the world. I am proud to say that I have never been happier! I may not have had a camera to capture my earlier adventures, but I have so many more adventures to come, this time with my camera firmly in hand.
My Mission
To enjoy life! To really look at the world around me and capture the stories that it’s letting me see. To bring enjoyment to others and myself, that are seeing my photos. To do my very best to tell the story of what I am seeing one click of the camera button at a time.
My Vision
That is forever changing, as I feel it should be. Never let yourself get stagnant, always challenge yourself to more! You are the only one that limits you, and I refuse to be limited. I want to be known for taking photos of so many different kinds of things that it is impossible for anyone to label me as a single kind of photographer. My vision is to be so diverse that you can’t pigeon hole me into just one category. My hope for you is that you do the same! This world offers us so much to explore, never limit yourself. I refuse to limit me! You only have one life and this is it, so live it!
